What to Do After Your Micro Wedding

With the rise of pop-up weddings and micro weddings, we love seeing how our couples are making it their own experience! We offer a number of different decorations and options to personalize your ceremony.   From florals to signage, we can customize your tiny wedding and we’d love to explain all of our different options.  One of our favorite ways to be different is by having a unique experience AFTER your micro wedding!  We constantly have couples ask what should we do after??  The best part is that as long as it’s something special you both choose, it will make for a great memory!  Here are a couple of recommendations our team has cooked up for you to consider.

Dinner Reception at a Local Restaurant

Both of our home locations are in the Gilbert area!  If you’re using one of those locations, you are directly next to downtown Gilbert and a number of restaurants.  If you’re having a morning ceremony, Snooze and The Porch both have great brunch options for morning events.

Dancing the Night Away

If you’d rather have a late-night dance party, Dierks Bently’s Whiskey Row is also just down the street and a perfect spot for after your tiny wedding. Or venture further to clubs in Phoenix or Scottsdale for a more downtown, urban experience.

Spa Day at the Resort

Relax and enjoy your time together!  We love the idea of a staycation at one of the Valley’s impressive resorts.  Get some spa treatments, spend some time by the pool, or just lounge around in your hotel room.  Make the most of your day together!

Take a class

Try a dance class or cooking class together.  Learn a new skill as your first act as husband and wife.  Maybe create a vase in pottery class that becomes a treasured heirloom.  If you’re really artistic, maybe paint something together at As You Wish.

Zoo Day

If you’re more of an adventurous couple, maybe a day at the zoo is more your speed.  If it’s during the holiday season, a night time walk around the zoo lights would also make for a great post-wedding experience.  It’s also a great one to include the family on if you’re so inclined!

Day Road Trip

Venture on up to northern Arizona for some fun in Sedona or Flagstaff.  The wineries have great tasting tours or Prescott’s Superstition Meadery makes for a delightful afternoon.

Fun & Games

If you’re a more playful couple, maybe an afternoon or evening at Dave and Busters or Top Golf would enhance the festivities for you and your family.  Want to add a little edge to the fun?  Try a shooting range or ax throwing company.

Up in the Air

Take a sunset hot air balloon ride that ends in a champagne toast.  You get a little adventure, some great photo opportunities, and another intimate moment to remember the day by!

It really doesn’t matter what you choose, as long as you’re both having a great time after the ceremony.  Since it’s not an extravagant wedding reception, you could make it an anniversary event every year after as well.  There is no wrong answer, and we’d love to hear your ideas too!
